With funding from the Department of Transport’s HS2 Business & Local Economy Fund (BLEF), iSE is delighted to launch the start of a new project #DIGBETHCONNECT, which will deliver a range of free targeted business advice and support to social enterprises and third sector organisations experiencing disruptions in Digbeth during the HS2 construction phase.
Digbeth supports a thriving enterprise network with over 70 social enterprises trading in or around Digbeth. The direct disruption faced by these organisations during the construction phase will be significant, creating physical business barriers and potentially limiting access to local businesses from city centre customers.
The grant has enabled iSE to employ a community-based business advisor who will support enterprises to develop plans to overcome the challenges created by intensive building work for HS2 through collaborative working and building resilience for the future. Social Enterprises in Digbeth will be able to access dedicated support and workshops and there will be additional intensive marketing of the Digbeth Social Enterprise Quarter www.digbethsocentquarter.co.uk as a whole, as well as for individual businesses.
Organisations wishing to access the service should contact our HS2 Business Advisor, iSE, on the following details:
