It was great to see so many people from around the country at Changes UK yesterday, gathered together to celebrate with SEUK the third anniversary of the introduction of the Social Enterprise Places initiative – and learn from each others experiences.
We heard from Cornwall, Devon, Digbeth, Oxford and Salford about their experiences as Social Enterprise Places.
Sarah Crawley and Gary Rogers from iSE led walks for the guests to some of Digbeth’s many social enterprises – their proximity to each other being a unique feature of Digbeth Social Enterprise Quarter, which iSE was instrumental in setting up in 2013, and which received Social Enterprise Place status in December of that year.
In addition to Changes UK, BITA Pathways, iSE, Health Exchange and Warehouse Cafe threw open their doors, showed people around and told their stories.
What a great way to spend a day! Our congratulations to SEUK and thanks for the hard work and committment they put in to supporting the social enterprise sector.
